Sponge zirconium, also known as metallic zirconium, is a silver-gray metal with a steel-like appearance and luster, used in aerospace, military industry, nuclear reaction, etc.
Zirconium sponge
Melting point 1852 secondary point, secondary point, boiling point 4377 density 6.49. Zirconium absorbs hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen easily. Zirconium's affinity for oxygen is very strong, zirconium oxygen dissolved in 1000 ℃ can make its volume increased significantly. Zirconium is relatively stable in air. The powdered zirconium is easy to burn, and the fine zirconium filament can be ignited by a match. At high temperature, it can be directly combined with dissolved oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen.
Specification: 3-25 mm
USES: aerospace, military, nuclear reaction, atomic energy, and the addition of metal superhard materials to manufacture bulletproof alloy steels, and can also be used as a coating alloy for uranium fuel in reactors; Zirconium tends to emit electrons at high temperatures.
Product features: metallic zirconium has very strong corrosion resistance, ultra-high hardness and strength.
The zirconium clad pipe of nuclear fuel rods is made of nuclear zirconium alloy, which has good tightness and long-term storage capacity of fission products under operating conditions. It is known as the first safety barrier for nuclear power plant operation. Nuclear grade sponge zirconium is an important raw material for manufacturing nuclear grade zirconium alloy materials, but until now, the nuclear grade sponge zirconium required by China's nuclear power plants has been dependent on imports and become a weak link in China's nuclear power industry.
