Molybdenum titanium alloy is an alloy based on molybdenum with a small amount of titanium elements. The most famous molybdenum titanium alloy is mo-0.5ti alloy. Most of the molybdenum titanium alloy powder mixing, pressing, sintering alloy ingots, and then processed into materials. The process is simple and the yield is high. Gold contains titanium 0.4%~0.55% (mass fraction) and carbon 0.01%~0.04% (mass fraction). Titanium is solidly soluble in molybdenum, which plays a role of solid solution strengthening. Carbon in molybdenum and alloy forms dispersion carbide particle, which plays a role of precipitation strengthening.

It is divided into powder metallurgy and smelting. Powder metallurgy is to mix high purity molybdenum powder, titanium hydride powder and graphite powder according to the composition requirements, and then press them into ingots by pressing or isostatic pressing, and then turn them into ingots by vertical melting or indirect heating under the protection of hydrogen. High purity molybdenum strip, carbon - containing molybdenum strip and alloy element titanium are fused into ingots by vacuum arc melting or electron beam melting according to different requirements. Plastically deformed powder metallurgical ingots are forged, rolled or directly rolled into finished products. The molten ingot is extruded, forged and rolled into a material. Deformation products include forging, bar, wire, pipe, thick plate, thin plate.

Molybdenum titanium alloy is widely used in aerospace structural materials. High power ceramic tube grid; High temperature furnace heating elements or structural parts; High temperature clamp.
