Although both tantalum and tungsten can infinite solid solution, but when the tungsten content in more than 12-14 at % at % alloy plastic will be significantly reduced, when tungsten content is low, tantalum tungsten alloy as the pure tantalum low-temperature plastic, and has high strength, resistance to oxidation and corrosion resistant ability, so the lower content of tungsten tantalum tungsten alloy is widely used in aviation, aerospace, chemical industry, nuclear industry and other fields. For example, ta-2.5w alloy can be used to manufacture heaters, cooling coils, heat exchangers and reactors. Ta-7.5w alloy can be used to make corrosion resistant elements; Ta-10W can be used as rocket engine thrust combustion chamber and high temperature vacuum furnace heating body and other high temperature components. At present, the preparation of tantalum tungsten alloy blank usually involves several processes such as mixing, pressing, sintering and smelting.
The invention relates to a preparation method of tantalum tungsten alloy blank, which is characterized by the following steps:
(1) powder mixing: tantalum powder with average particle size of 3 m ~ 5 m and tungsten powder with average particle size of 3 m were used as raw materials and weighed in the required proportion to mix. The mixed powder was placed in the ball mill tank of high-energy ball mill to mix evenly, and the mixed powder was obtained.
(2) press, press the mixed powder on the forming press to press the block, pressing pressure of 300MPa ~ 400MPa, get the block;
(3) the blank is broken, the blank is put into the ball grinding tank of the high-energy ball mill to be broken, and the blank particles are obtained, the size of which is 0.1mm ~ 0.3mm;
(4) arc melting, put the pressed billet particles into the crucible of the arc melting furnace to close the furnace door, vacuum to the pressure in the furnace below 0.003pa, stop the vacuum pumping, fill the high purity argon to 0.05mpa after vacuum pumping, the above vacuum pumping steps repeated three times after smelting to obtain the tantalum tungsten alloy blank.
