The exploration types of rare metallic endogenetic and weathering crust deposits are divided according to the size, morphology and mineralization uniformity of the ore body:
First Ⅰ types: massive ore bodies (> 800 m long and wide or deep > 500 m), simple form, a layer, layer, slab, huge lenticular and vein, mineralization evenly to more evenly. There are alkali feldspar granite deposit, weathering crust deposit, baiyun obo nb and rare earth deposit.
First Ⅱ types: orebody scale to large, individual large (large 400 ~ 800 m long, wide or deep in 200 ~ 500 m); Medium size (200 ~ 400m long, 100 ~ 200m wide or extended), simple to simple form, like layers, veins and lenses, mineralization is more uniform. There are alkali feldspar granite deposit, weathering crust deposit, granite pegmatite deposit and alkali rock-carbonate deposit.
First Ⅲ types: secondary orebody scale, individual is bigger, from simple to complex, a layered, vein and lenticular, mineralization is relatively uniform. There are granitic pegmatite veins, gas - hydrothermal deposits (such as picomellia au in jiangxi province) and albitization granite deposits.
First Ⅳ types: orebody scale is small to medium (small long < 200 m, wide or deep < 100 m), the shape is complex, lenticular, vein, nests, uneven mineralization to very uneven, but of commercial value, for mining and exploration.
The exploration type of rare metal placer deposit is divided according to the size of ore layer (body), the degree of stability and the level of uniformity of the position of rare metal mineral products:
First Ⅰ types: deposits (body) scale, > 2000 m long, > 400 m wide, layered, zonal distribution, generally for ore fine sand layer, part of the gravel layer, seam stability, uniform grade, flat bottom. This type is mainly coastal placer deposit, and part is river placer deposit.
First Ⅱ types: deposits (body) size medium, 500 ~ 2000 m long and 200 ~ 400 m wide, strip, dendritic distribution, seam thickness all have obvious expansion shrinkage phenomenon, generally for the gravel layer, part of the fine sand layer, the grade is relatively uniform, seam floor is not flat. This type has river placer deposit, some coastal placer deposit and so on.
First Ⅲ types: deposits (body) is small, long < 500 m, width < 200 m, a dendritic, lentils, body distribution, seam thickness and width change significantly, seam structure is complex, including sand gravel size difference, poor sorting and grade uneven, uneven seam floor. The deposits of this type include upper middle stream placer deposit and lower ore body of large river placer deposit.
